11 Months...Plus a Couple Weeks!

I cannot believe our little baby boy is already 11 1/2 months old!!! Where has the time gone?!

I know it's been a couple months since his last update post, but we have been soooo busy with Jackson on the move. He has grown a lot in the last month and his personality continues to shine brighter :) He is definitely my little happy boy!

Jackson LOVES to steal my glasses...and it's sooo funny. I know I shouldn't encourage it because he'll come to think of it as a game, but who could say no to this cutie?!

He has become an avid "reader"...or book-deshelfer. At least he shares though.

Jackson is a walking boy :)

 

Lately he's been exploring all sorts of textures.
Here he's trying to figure out the soft and squishiness of his foam bath mat.  

Then he discovered how soft the couch throw blanket was and wouldn't stop laying on it.
It was adorable :)

We took a trip to a beach near Santa Cruz with friends.
He wasn't really sure what to think of the wind and sand.

But he knew exactly what to think of toy shovels - AWESOMENESS!!!

Jackson is going through a finger foods stage.  He enjoys eating anything he can pick up and put in his own mouth - no puree for him, haha.  He's also a lot like mommy: chat, chat, chat!

Jackson is all ready for the BYU football season :)

In the beginning of August we had a great trip to Washington for the Allen Family Reunion.  Jackson came with a BIG message for the family :)  ...And he couldn't get enough play time with his little cousin Zoey!  They're just a couple months apart and it was precious to see them play together.

One of the Reunion outings was an afternoon Rainier's Baseball Game (the Seattle Mariner's triple A team)...already loving sports with Daddy :)

Jackson also loved his first trip to the ZOO!!! The ducks were so entertaining we couldn't even get him to look at the camera, haha.

Unfortunately, a couple weeks after the fun of the Reunion, Jackson got sick :( All he wanted to do was cuddle with Mommy and lounge about.  I couldn't believe it when he laid with me and we enjoyed watching ALL of "Tangled".  But that just says how zapped he was feeling.  Poor baby!

Jackson is one ticklish kiddo, but it sure is hard to catch him on camera!  This is just a very small example of how cute his little laugh is :)

 As soon as Jackson got better, he was back up and on the move.
We also discovered a new favorite outfit!

A BIG accomplishment in the weaning realm was when Jackson learned how to drink from his sippy all by himself!  That has been so great not always having to hold his cup in order for him to get a sufficient amount of milk.  BIG BOY!!!

Jackson loves to help around the house...particularly with laundry!

Another large step Jackson's made: breaking his first FOUR teeth - all in one month's time - with his fifth tooth making it's way downward!!!

I've LOVED every moment of watching Jackson grow into the little boy he's becoming.  I can't believe he's getting sooo big...and I wouldn't trade any moment with him for the world!!! Jordan and I love our little guy!!!
